NPMS MARCH NEWSLETTER 2026
Notes from Mr. Gregor and Mr. Bell
Dear NPMS Families,
Connecting for Student Success
As we approach the midpoint of our second semester, we are energized by the growth we see in our students every day. This month is packed with opportunities to connect—from our upcoming Spring Conferences, to our first school-wide Read-a-Thon since 2022! Whether we are discussing academic progress in a conference or cheering on our "Trojan Readers," our goal remains the same: supporting the incredible students of New Prague Middle School.
Trojan Readers: "Conquering Books One Page at a Time!"
We are thrilled to kick off the NPMS Read-a-Thon! This is our first major fundraiser in four years and 100% of the proceeds go directly back to our students. In the past, these funds have provided foosball tables, student cafeteria microwaves, playground equipment, field trip busing and student recognition awards.
The Details:
- Kickoff: Monday, March 2 (Dr. Seuss’s Birthday!)
- Duration: March 2–13
- Participation: Students will read in homeroom daily and log their minutes through Beanstack. While fundraising is optional, we want every student to participate in the reading!
How to Support–Students can find adult sponsors to pledge a flat donation:
Prizes and the Roof Challenge:
- Daily Drawings: Every student who participates in the reading is eligible for daily prizes!
- Top 10: Special rewards for our top 10 fundraisers.
- The Big Goal: If we reach our $15,000 goal, Mr. Gregor and Mr. Bell will camp out for one night on the roof of NPMS! Let’s help them get up there!
"The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you'll go." — Dr. Seuss

Absences, Late Arrivals, Early Pickups and End-of-the-Day Pickups
If your child(ren) will be gone or late, you MUST call the attendance line: (952) 758-1405 (24/7, before 8:00 a.m. on the day that they will be gone) or main office line: (952) 758-1400 (after 8:00 a.m.), or have your child bring a note to the office in the morning before or on the day they will be gone. If your child will be leaving early, have them bring a note to the office first thing in the morning to get a pass.
If your child is ill during the school day, please have them go to the nurse's office. The nurse will call home, if needed. Please remember that students should not be using their phones during the school day, unless they are in the office or a staff member has okayed it.
Drop-Off Reminder Please help to keep our students safe by dropping off in the northbound lane (the side closest to the school) only.
